-CRANK- SCAT profiled cast steel crankshaft -CONNECTING RODS-
SCAT 4340 steel I-beam rods with bronze bushed small
end & ARP 8740 capscrew bolts
-PISTONS & PINS- ROSS, DIAMOND, or PROBE flat top pistons
and pins
-RINGS- MAHLE file to fit plasma- moly race ring set
-BEARINGS- FEDERAL MOGUL, CLEVITE, or KING rod and main bearings.

Short Block - $2,795

-BLOCK- Select roller 302 casting
-CAM BEARINGS- DURA-BOND
-MAIN FASTENERS- ARP main studs
-OIL PUMP- ELGIN high-pressure or high volume blueprinted oil
pump and pump shaft
-MACHINE WORK- Block is hot tanked, all threads are chased, brass
freeze
plugs and cam bearings are installed. Main studs are
installed and block is align honed, deck is squared,
cylinders are bored & honed with torque plates installed,
and clearanced for stroker. Lifter bores are honed, oiling system
modifications are made, and the block is final
cleaned and painted “Panhandle Grey.” The rotating
assembly is balanced to 28 oz. on front & rear and all
reciprocating parts are balanced to one gram. Ring gaps are
set per customer’s application and the short block is
pro assembled with viton rear main seal. A full spec sheet
with all clearances is provided.

-OIL PAN & PICK_UP- CANTON 7qt. rear or front sump pan, pick-up,
and dipstick.
-PAN GASKET- SCE or Ford one-piece, rubber, steel impregnated
gasket
-PAN FASTENERS- ARP stud kit
-TIMING COVER- New aluminum universal cover
-TIMING COVER GSK- FEL-PRO or SCE timing set
-CAMSHAFT- COMPETITION CAMS custom hydraulic roller
-TIMING CHAIN- DYNAGEAR nine position chain with fasteners from
ARP and new Ford cam plate (camshaft “degreed in”
for the application)
-HARMONIC BALANCER- PowerBond 28 oz. SFI balancer – four
bolt, serpentine spacing, installed with ARP dampner bolt kit
-FLEXPLATE- SFI 164 tooth, 28 oz. flexplate fastened with ARP
bolt kit
-HEAD GASKETS- FEL-PRO or SCE s\s fire ring, graphite gaskets
-CYLINDER HEADS- CANFIELD stage I with CNC combustion chambers,
intake port match, competition valve-job, Ferrea competition duty
valves, .600 lift dual springs, Manley 10 deg retainers &
locks, spring cups, guide plates, performance valve seals and
ARP studs (with complete flow and spec sheet)
-HEAD FASTENERS- ARP head bolt kit
-LIFTERS- Ford Motorsport roller lifters and lifter installation
kit
-ROCKER ARMS- SCORPION extruded billet rockers and poly locks
-PUSHRODS- PANHANDLE PERFORMANCE custom hardened chromoly pushrods
*Heads are installed using a special technique and torque sequence
that has been found to produce superior seal compared to standard
torque procedures. The valve train is installed and adjusted to
performance specifications. All specs are furnished to customer.

to desired torque curve & port balanced (complete with flow

*Complete engines need only a distributor and water pump.
**Dyno testing and tuning with custom chip available for a “turn
key” installation.
Every Panhandle Performance assembly is complete with a full
specification sheet, which lists all clearances, torque specs,
lubricants used, part numbers, and all other information.
